14th Labor Night at the Races This Friday Night

RANSOMVILLE, NY (June 12, 2023) One of the longest traditions at the Big R will continue this coming Friday night as it is the 14th Annual Labor Night at the Races to benefit the United Way of Greater Niagara. A full card of racing will take place, featuring the Krown Undercoating 358 Modifieds, Hy-Tech Concrete DIRTcar Sportsman, KiPo Chevrolet Street Stocks, Sunflowers of Sanborn Mini Stocks, and the Kevin’s Carpet Cleaning Novice Sportsman. Davis-Ulmer and Highmark of WNY will present the racing program.
Labor Night at the Races is presented by the AFL/CIO Niagara-Orleans Labor Council. They are one of nearly 500 state and local labor councils of the AFL-CIO and are the heart of the labor movement. They are democratically elected bodies dedicated to representing the interests of working people at the state and local level. They mobilize their members and community partners to advocate for social and economic justice and strive daily to vanquish oppression and make their communities better for all people—regardless of race, color, gender, religion, age, sexual orientation, or ethnic or national origin.
Labor Night at the Races benefits the United Way of Greater Niagara. The mission of the United Way is “to invest in programs that focus on Education, Health & Income that deliver measurable results to improve our community today and strengthen it for tomorrow”. Over the years, over $150,000 has been raided in support of United Way programs.

Pit gates will open at 5:00pm, with grandstands opening at 6:00pm, and racing getting underway at 7:15pm. For those unable to attend, the races will be streamed live on Dirt Track Digest TV. Grandstand adult admission is $18, Seniors (60 +) and youth (12-17) is $15, and kids 11 and under are admitted FREE. Pit admission is $35 for members and $40 for non-members.
