Anstett, Pollow, Schulz, Paonessa, Porter, Holmes, and Just Win Opening Night at Little R

RANSOMVILLE, NY (May 13, 2021) The 2021 SANY New York Go-Karts season at the “Little R” was officially underway on Thursday night. Jeff Anstett swept the main events for the Finish Line Auto Detail Senior Heavy and won the Fisher’s Automotive Senior Lites feature. Anthony Pollow won the feature event for the Fitzgibbon Contracting and Construction Junior 3. Jacob Schulz won the SJE Shocks Junior 2. Giovanni Paonessa won the Slack Karts Junior 1. Rhys Porter, Luke Holmes, and Raelyn Just scored the wins in the Just Signs & Designs Novice.

Jeff Anstett would lead off from the pole position in the Finish Line Auto Detail Senior Heavy. Jayme Stone would put pressure on Anstett for the lead off a mid-race restart but Anstett would go on to score the feature win.
Trent Smith and Austin Gordon took off early in the feature race for the Fisher’s Automotive Senior Lites. Jeff Anstett would take over the lead following a lap six caution. Anstett would go on to score the feature win. Anstett would get the win over Austin Gordon and Eric Veihdeffer.

The Fitzgibbon Contracting and Construction Junior 3 feature was led the green flag by Anthony Pollow. Pollow would pull away from the field and would lead all the circuits to collect the feature win.
Mason Hanel led the opening six laps of the SJE Shocks Junior 2 A-Main. Jacob Schulz would take over the lead and would hold off Hanel to score the win.
Giovanni Paonessa would take the lead away from polesitter Amelia Westlake in the beginning laps of the Slack Karts Junior 1 feature. Paonessa would go on and lead all 15 laps to pick up the win.

The Just Signs and Designs Novice division ran three features on opening night. Rhys Porter led every lap to win the first feature. After Sophia Harris led the opening lap in the second feature, Luke Holmes took over the lead, and would go on to score the win.

The ”Little R” will return to action on Thursday, May 20 for a full card of SANY New York Go-Kart racing. As always, free grandstand admission to watch the future stars in action on the 1/16th-mile “Little R”. Temperature checks will take place and masks are mandatory.
