Ransomville Speedway Profile: Chris Dziomba
The Street Stock Division at Ransomville Speedway puts on a great show every week, with many talented drivers. Chris Dziomba of North Tonawanda is no exception. In 2019, Dziomba was very consistent, placing 6th in the points standings having thirteen top 10 finishes, with five of those being in the top 5. With a new Camaro for 2020, Dziomba is ready to progress in the Street Stock Division. His goal is to win a couple races with intentions to place top 3 in the points standings. He is very excited to try out a new type of car since he has yet to drive a leaf spring car, only his traditional metric car. We can’t wait to see the new pink, black, and white ride take some laps in 2020. Dziomba would like to thank Ridge Overhead Door, Mosquito Joe of WNY, Niemiec Builders Supply, Buds Apple Pie, Tasner Machine and Tool, and Brownies Auto Care for their generous 2020 season sponsorship. Other than his sponsors, Dziomba would like to thank his dad, his brother Jimmy Dziomba, Chuck Cala, Howie Guthrie, and Anthony Guthrie for all of their help throughout his racing journey.
Q&A with Chris Dziomba:
How did you get into racing?
My family would go to Ransomville Speedway and Lancaster Speedway as far back as I can remember. Eventually, I helped my friend, Justin McKay, in the pits and the itch slowly developed and I decided to give it a try. I’ve been hooked ever since.”
What is the greatest piece of advice you have gotten from someone?
“The best piece of advice I have ever gotten to this day was from an elderly man. He said, “Don’t worry about the corner until you get there.” I have no clue who he was still to this day.”
How did you get your race car number?
“I didn’t really have a specific reason for the number choice.”
