The go kart racers are some small but mighty racers, always putting on a great show and heavy competition. This 15 year old from Barker, NY is no exception. He has been making his way through the classes at the Little R for quite some time now. Brayden James plans to wheel the #99 in the Senior Heavy class for the 2020 season, moving up from the Senior Lite class that he finished 5th in points during the 2019 season. He has brought his competition to the track, finishing strong each week with the fierce competitors in the Senior Lite class and we can’t wait to see what he brings to Senior Heavy, another highly competitive class. James plans to “put down some flags and race clean” while continuing to grow as a driver. James says his father got him into racing when they built an older go kart together and after three weeks of racing, he got his first win and “has been hooked ever since”. He is looking forward to coming back to race at Ransomville since “the management on the track between officials and the racers with the one way radios worked great” last season! He believes that the go kart program is very beneficial to “get young kids and even adults into racing” with the competition in every division being great with “everyone trying to get the checkered flag in their hand”. James would like to thank Sunset Stylz as well as family and friends who have contributed support for the 2020 racing season. He would also like to thank his parents, grandpa, and his dad’s friend for everything they have done so far.

What is your favorite subject in school?

“Probably science because we are always doing experiments.”

What do you get from the Ransomville Speedway concession stand?

“My typical concession stand order is a cheeseburger and fries.”
How did you pick your kart number?

“I picked 99 for my kart number because that was my favorite number at the time and now it’s just kind of stuck with me.”
