WET GROUNDS FOR RANSOMVILLE TO CANCEL FOR JUNE 14
RANSOMVILLE, N.Y. (June 14, 2019) - There will be no green or checkered flags waving in Ransomville on Flag Day because saturated grounds have forced Ransomville Speedway officials to cancel the racing program for Friday, June 14.
Heavy rains on Thursday evening once again saturated the already damp parking lot and pit area. Despite three race events in the books this season at the "Big R", the consistent rain showers this spring have made it hard for the parking lot to completely dry out.
Coming up next Friday, June 21, at Ransomville is the third annual Sid Jeffrey Memorial featuring $2,000-to-win races for both the Krown Undercoating 358 Modifieds and the Investors Service Sportsman presented by Jeffrey Machine and Slack Karts. The Jeffrey family has collected over $1,700 in contingency awards and lap money for the Sportsman and $2,800 for the Modifieds. The Ki-Po Chevrolet Street Stocks, Gippster's Collision Mini Stocks and Stevenson's Hardware Novice Sportsman will also be in action. Racing starts at 7:15 p.m.
